Text Box: A federal judge just ruled that the New York City Council has the right to ban aluminum bats and now thousands of high school ball players in New York City had to switch to wood on September 1st. We need to show our legislators that there are thousand and thousands of citizens who don’t want the politicians to get involved in a matter that should be left to the coaches, leagues and parents who know the sport best. Please go to www.DTMBA.com and sign up so you can become involved and help stop New Jersey from doing the same. There is a Bill in Trenton already trying to ban non-wood bats in all youth programs in New Jersey. Also visit the Little League site on the subject.

Reminders:

There are no on-deck batters allowed in any division (except JR/SR).  No player should be swinging or holding a bat unless they are at the plate.

 

Player’s Uniforms must match.

Players should not be wearing non-gray pants, street shirts, or another league’s uniform.

 

Fields need to be raked after each game.

Coaches - ask parents to help out while you talk to the players

 

Trash left after games needs to be cleaned up.

We are currently experiencing an increase in litter after each game. Trash  under the bleachers, thrown on the hill, left in the dugouts.  Please deposit trash in the cans provided. If you are watching a game, please give us a hand in keeping the facility clean.  Take the time to pick up the trash on the ground and deposit in the trash cans provided.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The General Meeting scheduled for July 7th has been cancelled. There will be a combination Board/General meeting July 21st at 8pm

 

There are some issues with misspellings on some trophies. Please send  an email to baseball@bkll.com letting us know what needs correcting so we can have Crown Trophies make new plates.

 

Fall Ball registration will begin the end of July.
