Important Age Rule Change Transitions into Effect
The Little League International Board of Directors voted to change the age determination date for all levels of baseball to August 31 for all players born in 2006 or later. For players born in prior to August 31, 2006, the age determination date remains as of April 30.

Help Wanted: Snack Stand Leaders
Blackwood Kiwanis Little League is search of a few dedicated parents looking to help oversee the daily operation of our Snack Stand this season. We are implementing a new approach to the staffing of the stand and it will only be successful with your help.
If you would like to learn more about this new role, please email us at email@example.com
Become a BKLL Sponsor
League sponsorship is one of the biggest reasons that our organization has been able to continue to teach the children of our community how to enjoy the game of baseball for so many years.
With the sponsorship donations that we received over the past few seasons, we have refurbished our dilapidated fields, purchased new equipment, and helped cover some of our operating budget – but most of all, with your help, we have been able to keep youth baseball and softball affordable for all of the boys and girls in our community.
To learn more about the BKLL Sponsorship and how to become a BKLL Sponsor, please download our Sponsorship Flyer. You will find attached a chart that explains our various Sponsorship Programs. Please review the programs to find out which sponsorship best fits you, then complete and return the form.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, volunteers and most importantly the children of the Blackwood Kiwanis Little League, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your anticipated support.
There are no bicycles or dogs allowed at the complex.
Smoking is permitted only at the top of the hills.
There are no "on deck" batters allowed in Little League. No player should have a bat in their hand unless they are at the plate to bat. This includes the minor field (exception Jr and Sr).
Any injuries need to be reported to the coaches. Coaches need to fill out an incident report (click here).
Please use trash cans. We are spending valuable volunteer time cleaning up trash dropped on the ground.
Any items found at the complex or practices should be brought to the Snack Stand Lost and Found.
Please remember to be mindful of where you park while visiting our complex. Please park only in designated areas. We understand that parking is a premium; however, we do not want to offend our residential neighbors either. The road at the end of Railroad Ave (that wraps around to the t-ball field) is a private driveway. Please do not drive or park on this road.
BKLL Board of Directors and the GTPD
No Smoking Policy
In 2009, the BKLL Board of Directors passed a policy to prohibit smoking (of any kind) anywhere near the fields, bleachers and snack stand. There are designated smoking areas at the top of the hill. Please respect this policy for the health of our players, children, and spectators.
Safety Policy Reminder
As a gentle reminder, our baseball complex is owned by the Township of Gloucester. As set by local ordinances, pets, bicycles, skateboards and motorized vehicles are not authorized at the complex.
BKLL Policy for Volunteers
In addition to passing the Background Check required by Little League International, any volunteer coming in constant contact with our players (manager, assistant coach, scorekeeper, team mom/team dad, volunteer umpire, board member, or any other capacity that requires regular interaction with our players) will be required to wear a photo ID badge issued by BKLL. Photographs will be taken during our Coaching Clinic. If you plan to volunteer your time at BKLL, please fill out the online Background Check as soon as possible.
Important Little League Rule Change
This was a new policy for 2013 and we did experience some growing pains as with any new policy. However, anyone not displaying their ID badge will not be permitted on the field - whether for practice or games.
Little League International announced an important change to the residency requirements that are used to determine eligibility for district teams. The new rule allows children to play in the local league whose boundaries include the school in which they attend. Players must complete a school enrollment form to provide proof of enrollment in the school that is within the local league boundaries. More information is included on the Little League website.
Reminder About Bats
With the holidays quickly approaching, before you purchase a bat, please see Little League International's statement about their study on the use of composite bats. Certain bats are no longer allowed and cannot be used.
BKLL Offering Collector Pins
Blackwood Kiwanis Little League collector pins have been delivered and are available in the snack stand.
